Brief:

To produce a game that helps SME businesses learn and understand how effective use of design in their organisations can bring tangible benefits to the bottom line.

All components within the game had to be at least 80% recycled and Richard Edward looked at different  stocks available and presented these to the client.  Foam densities and materials were also explored alongside evaluation of the most effective production methods for the project.

Additionally,  Richard Edward managed their supplier network to create the foam insert and outerbox.

Mock ups were created and provided prior to receipt of purchase order to help decide which stock options would help translate the origional concept into print to ensure that the finished products met and exceeded expectations.
All repro work, printing, finishing and delivery were achieved for the majority of components using our in house facilities.
Whilst three months was spent planning with the client, the lead time from receipt of artwork to deadline was tight which meant managing all outsourced elements to schedule whilst keeping to budget.
"First of all, please pass on our thanks for all the hard work that Richard Edward have put in to delivering Matchbox on time. We ran the first workshops yesterday and it has been received extremely well. The Design Council are already talking about a new, bigger, production run! They were delighted at the quality of the product and by all accounts extremely proud of it!"
